60s to Soul Christmas Seaside Party at Warner Norton Grange

4 days, 22nd November 2019, from £279 per person

Entertainment

The New Honeycombs evolved from the original Honeycombs, who burst onto the pop scene with the worldwide hit number one Have I The Right in 1964 followed by That’s The Way, Is It Because and the Ray Davies penned Something Better Beginning. Their set is virtually a discography of the 1960s.

Roy G Hemmings is acknowledged as a great showman and dynamic singer by both critics and fans. Roy is the longest serving former member of legendary group, The Drifters. He has entertained audiences around the world with his easy, relaxed style and fabulous voice in a career that spans four decades. Roy enjoyed major success when he signed a recording deal in the mid-seventies with the J.A.L.N. Band, one of the first bands to storm the British charts with the dance record, Disco Music, I Like It co-produced by Pete Waterman. After three well-received albums, the group disbanded and Roy launched his solo career, releasing his first solo album, No Afro, No Sequins, No Flares to critical acclaim in 1997. His latest album, Philly vs Motown includes songs from his stage show including a fine version of The Drifters’ classic, Like Sister and Brother. Roy’s Dictionary of Soul® show includes songs by Otis Reading, James Brown, The O-Jays, The Supremes, Temptations, Four Tops and other Soul & Motown greats. The show also features the Soul Divas The Prim-ettes, adding a stunning dimension of smooth harmonies and slick Motown dance routines. Diana Ross and Mary Wilson were in fact founder members of the Prim-ettes before changing their name to The Supremes. The show is full of timeless songs performed with energy and sensitivity, creating emotions with a musical array of all-time greats: Get Ready, Sitting on the Dock of the Bay, Me & Mrs Jones, Under the Boardwalk, Can’t Help Myself, My Girl, Save the Last Dance for Me, and Love Train.

The Ultimate Everlys are brothers Mick and Terry Page who have been singing and playing together for over 30 years. Their show recreates the spine-tingling harmonies of Phil and Don Everly, probably the greatest harmony duo of all time, and contains all of their greatest hits – Wake Up Little Susie, Cathy’s Clown, All I Have To Do is Dream, and many more. The act looks and sounds authentic in every detail, including replica Everlys’ guitars, the trademark double-gooseneck mike stand and first class backing tracks. As brothers, Mick and Terry come as close as you can get to recreating the unique Everlys’ vocal blend.

Chris Nott is well known on the 70s music circuit as the best David Essex tribute, which began in 1999 on the TV show ‘Stars in Their Eyes’ to an audience of 10 million viewers. His tribute is a total lookalike and soundalike of the legendary 70s sex symbol.
