Back to the 60s & 70s BIG Christmas Party at Pontins Pakefield

4 days, 8th November 2019, from £159 per person

Entertainment

Showaddywaddy had more UK hits in the 1970s than any other act – including Abba! From their winning appearance on an edition of New Faces, the Britain’s Got Talent ofthe day, to become runners-up in the series’ All Winners Final’, it took just a matter of months until the band released and secured their debut hit, Hey Rock And Roll, which reached No2 in the UK Singles Chart. No there’s a Greatest Hits vinyl LP collection, features 16 of the band’s best-known singles, including nine Top Ten hits and the Million-Selling No1 single, Under The Moon Of Love. Showaddywaddy are recognised as one of the hardest working touring bands in the UK.

The Lollypops & Moptops Show is a brand new 2-hour production for 2019 featuring The Dreamers, 2017 National Tribute Music Award Winners The Temple Brothers with their Everly Brothers Tribute Act, Buddy Walker with his fabulous recreation of Buddy Holly and all hosted and compered by Alan Mosca. Carrying on the tradition of Freddie Garrity, The Dreamers remain one of the best-known named bands on the 60s music circuit. Changes to personnel over the past 50 years were of course inevitable but one member – Alan Mosca – remains in the band today.

The Berries are a four-piece vocal-harmony band recreating the songs from the unforgettable swinging 60s! The band performs much-loved classics from bands such as The Beatles, The Searchers, The Fortunes, The Hollies, Herman’s Hermits, The Beach Boys, The Four Seasons and many more. The Berries show is a totally 60s experience from start to finish.

The 1960s was a golden era of music with so many hits. And one of the most memorable was The McCoys interpretation of Hang On Sloopy, which became a monster success, and is still hugely popular today. And it was being there, loving that wonderful time and its songs, which led to four talented British musicians fostering their special memories, preserving them for live audiences to enjoy anew today, keeping alive the McCoys name, with Hang On Sloopy and Spencer Davis’s Keep on Running being just two examples of a superb repertoire from the 60s.

Tameka Jackson‘s performance as Diana Ross  truly takes you back in time as you soak in the classic hits from one of Motown’s original stars. From the Supremes classics, to Diana’s solo ventures, Tameka covers a wide range of Diana Ross’ material flawlessly, with a clear respect and admiration for Diana’s work, talent and career. Tameka’s tribute will leave you cheering, dancing, and wanting more.

Chris Nott is well known on the 70s music circuit as the best David Essex tribute, which began in 1999 on the TV show ‘Stars in Their Eyes’ to an audience of 10 million viewers. His tribute is a total lookalike and soundalike of the legendary 70s sex symbol.

Buddy Walker is the ‘ultimate’ Buddy Holly tribute whose voice and guitar playing perfectly recreate the sounds of Buddy Holly. He has taken his show around the world and has performed at the legendary Surf Ballroom in Clearlake, Iowa, on the very stage where Buddy Holly last stood and played.
