Back to the 60s Cotswolds Christmas Party

3 days, 15th December, 2019, £169 per person

Entertainment

Carrying on the tradition of the guys who started it all in 1963 – Freddie and The Dreamers – The Dreamers remain one of the best known named bands on the 60s music circuit. Changes to personnel over the past 50 years were inevitable but one member, Alan Mosca, remains in the band today. Alan was alongside Freddie as part of the British Invasion Tour of America, sharing the stage with Gerry and The Pacemakers, The Searchers and others. Alan is joined by The Temple Brothers, Steve and Colin, who have toured extensively with their Everly Brothers tribute show and Midnight Dynamos rock and roll band. Newest member Nicky Walker also a seasoned professional who toured the UK and Abroad as a session musician and his own unique Buddy Holly tribute show. With their unique harmonies and musicianship they add an extra dimension to the Dreamers, who along with the hits of Freddie and The Dreamers perform the most popular songs of the fifties rock and roll days and the great songs of the sixties.

Union Gap gained worldwide recognition when their first combined release Young Girl hit No.1 in the UK and No.2 in the USA in 1968. After several more hits, in 1971 the band parted company with Gary Puckett. In 1974 Young Girl was re-released in the UK and the new Union Gap was put together to promote the record which was yet again a smash hit. Eventually the band went their separate ways until in 1996 they relaunched the New Union Gap with Tom Harding on bass guitar and lead vocals. They were an instant success on the 60s circuit playing all the major festivals, theatres and holiday centres throughout the UK. The boys have worked extensively to put together a repertoire of classic songs from the 60s to 90s, which they perform either in the original form or in their own unique style – many of which appear on their albums This Time Around, Classics and By Request. The band – now known as Union Gap UK – have also perfected their distinctive concert sound, which make them stand out from the crowd.

Multi-talented multi-instrumentalist Keith Slater has created a superb show celebrating the 1960s – the decade when music changed the world. His one-man show perfectly evokes the era and is virtually a time-travelling experience. Keith has been a professional musician since 1981 and has toured extensively around the British Isles. He has recorded with well known bands such as 60’s group Mike Sheridan and the Nightriders, the nationally acclaimed folk act The Fastest Bat and Lancashire comedian Phil Cool. He has appeared on national TV shows Pebble Mill at One, The Tom O’Connor show, The Barmaids Arms and The Phil Cool Show. His music has been played on Radio one, Radio two and Local radio. He regularly works with well known artistes Carl Chinn (Birmingham historian), Malcolm Stent, Don Maclean and award winning bands Inheritance and Vivo where he sings, plays guitar, drums, violin and harmonica (obviously not all at the same time).

Performances will be with cabaret-style dining seated at shared tables of 8-10 guests and set menu – special diets can be catered for with prior notice.
