Back to the 60s Spring Party at Runnymede Hotel & Spa

3 days, 19th – 21st March, 2023 from £249 per person

Entertainment

Carrying on the tradition of the guys who started it all in 1963 – Freddie and The Dreamers – The Dreamers remain one of the best known named bands on the 60s music circuit. Changes to personnel over the past 50 years were inevitable but one member, Alan Mosca, remains in the band today. Alan was alongside Freddie as part of the British Invasion Tour of America, sharing the stage with Gerry and The Pacemakers, The Searchers and others. Alan is joined by The Temple Brothers, Steve and Colin, who have toured extensively with their Everly Brothers tribute show and Midnight Dynamos rock and roll band. Newest member Nicky Walker also a seasoned professional who toured the UK and Abroad as a session musician and his own unique Buddy Holly tribute show. With their unique harmonies and musicianship they add an extra dimension to the Dreamers, who along with the hits of Freddie and The Dreamers perform the
most popular songs of the fifties rock and roll days and the great songs of the sixties

New Amen Corner have emerged in the last couple of years as arguably the hottest band on the 60s circuit with an unrivalled ability to perfectly recreate the sound and atmosphere of that momentous period 50 years ago when music sent good vibrations across the world. The original Amen Corner was a big influence on the 60s pop scene, creating their own unique brand of music, a mixture of mod, psychedelic power pop, heavy horns, swirling Hammond organ and distinctive voice of Andy Fairweather-Low. Their power house live show made them one of the most exciting bands around. With million seller hits like Gin House, Bend Me Shape Me, If Paradise was half as Nice, High in the Sky, & Hello Suzie they became a household name in the late 60s. The New Amen Corner has a musical pedigree second to none with band members who have played with the likes of Screaming Lord Sutch, The Symbols, Jeff Beck, Alexsis Korner, Roy Wood, Robert Plant, Alvin Stardust, Ruby Turner, Mike Oldfield and Jaki Graham to name but a few. Their Bringing on Back the 60s show is a veritable discography of the era.

The Fourmost had its roots steeped in the eclectic 1960s Mersey beat boom and was part of the Brian Epstein stable along with The Beatles, Billy J Kramer, Gerry and The Pacemakers, Cilla Black and others. The band has evolved from enjoying 1960’s chart hits such as Hello Little Girl (no.9) and A Little Loving (no.6) and less popular songs as I’m In Love (17), Baby I Need Your Lovin (24), Girls Girls Girls (33) and a cover of George Formby’s Auntie Maggie’s Remedy which failed to chart in the UK. During the 1970s and the early 1980s like many of its peers, The Fourmost played mainly on the cabaret circuit as it struggled to compete for appeal with disco, funk, glam rock and punk. Since the mid 1980s The Fourmost has enjoyed a golden era as part of the wider 1960s revival scene and now appear throughout the UK and Europe playing at theatre’s, holiday parks and 60s festivals to a diverse fan base. The Fourmost have been continually active since forming as the Four Jays in 1959, the personal may have changed over the years but the sound and look of the band have remained the same. The Fourmost are one of the most authentic 1960s bands currently on the circuit today, from their Fender amps, Rapier guitars and Ludwig drums down to their Italian made slim- fitted suits and Cuban heel boots.

The Ragdolls are Europe’s number 1 tribute to Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. Their celebration of Frankie and the boys will take you on a musical journey through the sounds of one of the most successful bands of all time. Classic songs such as Sherry, Walk like a man, Oh What a Night and many more truly recreate the iconic sound of the Four Seasons. With slick choreography and the Frankie’s recognisable falsetto, The Ragdolls really set the scene for a great night of music.
