Herman’s Hermits emerged in the Mid-60s music scene alongside The Beatles, The Rolling Stones and many more British bands. From their beginning in Manchester on April 1st 1964, the band has chalked up over 23 hit singles, 10 hit albums, 3 major movies and countless television shows and concert tours all over the world. To date they have total record sales of over 75 million. Since the 1971 departure of Peter Noone to pursue a solo career, the group has never stopped. Original member Barry (the Bean) Whitwam has guided the band from strength to strength into one of the hardest working acts in the business – they still average more than 200 gigs a year. The ‘Golden Oldies’ still make up amost of their show – much to the enjoyment of their fans, who can’t resist singing along to ‘Mrs Brown You’ve Got A Lovely Daughter’, ‘Silhouettes’, ‘Dandy’, ‘Henry VIII’ and many others. From the 60s, though the 70s, 80s, 90s and into the 21st century, Herman’s Hermits are still ‘Into Something Good’.
Born and bred in Pontypridd, South Wales – Welsh speaking James Williams is proud of his heritage and enjoyed growing up in a large and close knit family – just like Tom Jones! James has always been in the public eye. A keen sportsman and talented young golfer, he was delighted to be chosen to play for Wales in the European Challenge Tour, playing World Class golf, eventually turning professional. He has travelled all over the world, but there is nothing like the Green Green Grass of Home James became known as the singing golfer and was invited to sing and entertain at weddings and celebrations for some of the top names in golf and many other celebrities. James singing career has gone from strength to strength, TV and stage performances have given him a wonderful platform and great exposure, Achieving X-Factor Judges Houses final stage in 2008. The music he sings ranges from ballads and swing to 60s pop right through to present day chart music. James show band is guaranteed to get the dance floor bouncing. They have the grooves and the moves to entertain you from beat one to bedtime.
The Ragdolls are Europe’s number 1 tribute to Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. Their celebration of Frankie and the boys will take you on a musical journey through the sounds of one of the most successful bands of all time. Classic songs such as Sherry, Walk like a man, Oh What a Night and many more truly recreate the iconic sound of the Four Seasons.With slick choreography and the Frankie’s recognisable falsetto, The Ragdolls really set the scene for a great night of music.
Christopher Gee’s career took off after he appeared on BBC TVs Opportunity Knocks ad it is now as varied as the 100+ voices he performs in his unique one man show. He has performed with some of the top names in show business all over the UK and abroad. Performing as a solo artist and also principal comedian in touring shows has given Christopher Gee the experience to work to different audiences. With his unique blend of topical, original, quality and non-offensive comedy material and his uncanny ability to impersonate, means that his act is suitable for most occasions. Why hire one performer when you can have hundreds.
Warner Norton Grange
The journey to the Isle of Wight is a pleasure in itself with a relaxing short cruise across the Solent from the Portsmouth, Lymington or Southampton. During the crossing, you can sit back and take in the lovely views as the south coast recedes into the distance and the picturesque Isle of Wight coast gets ever closer.
