The BIG 60s to Soul & Motown Summer Seaside Festival at Warner Lakeside

        4 days, 30th July – 2nd August 2021, from £379 per person

Marty Wilde‘s career took off after he was ‘discovered’ singing in a Soho club by impressario Larry Parnes. His big breakthrough came with the release of “Endless Sleep“, which entered the UK charts in June 1958, reaching number 4 and staying for 14 weeks. His follow-up was “Donna“, Written by Ritchie Valens, which went one better, peaking at number 3 early in 1959 and staying in the top 50 for four months. Marty’s chart progress continued with “ Teenager in Love“ which reached number two in the UK. The hits then followed one after another with “Sea of Love“, “Bad Boy”, “Jezebel” and many more. When music shows like ‘Oh Boy‘ appeared on British TV, Marty became a smash hit. He has continued touring with bhis band, The Wildcats, and still plays to packed audiences to this day. A true British Rock and Roll icon.

Herman’s Hermits emerged in the Mid-60s music scene alongside The Beatles, The Rolling Stones and many more British bands. From their beginning in Manchester on April 1st 1964, the band has chalked up over 23 hit singles, 10 hit albums, 3 major movies and countless television shows and concert tours all over the world. To date they have total record sales of over 75 million. Since the 1971 departure of Peter Noone to pursue a solo career, the group has never stopped. Original member Barry (the Bean) Whitham has guided the band from strength to strength into one of the hardest working acts in the business – they still average more than 200 gigs a year. The ‘Golden Oldies’ still make up most of their show – much to the enjoyment of their fans, who can’t resist singing along to ‘Mrs Brown You’ve Got A Lovely Daughter’, ‘Silhouettes’, ‘Dandy’, ‘Henry VIII’ and many others. From the 60s, though the 70s, 80s, 90s and into the 21st century, Herman’s Hermits are still ‘Into Something Good’.

Mud II features ex-members of Les Gray’s Mud, keeping alive legendary hits like Tiger Feet, Dynamite, Cat Crept In, Oh Boy, Rocket, Lonely This Christmas and more. Still wearing the original drape coats, drainpipes and brothel creepers, the band perfectly evokes the late 60s and early 70s and the music is sharper than ever.

Memories of the Four Tops are the ultimate Soul and Motown group who present a stunning floorshow of an extensive repertoire of hits from the legendary Four Tops. Featuring outstanding vocal harmonies and pulsating choreography, the group also perform a unique blend of classic R’n’B, Stax, Motown and Soul including classic hits from the Temptations, Stevie Wonder, The Drifters and more. This classy act have been wowing audiences all over the UK and Internationally with their energetic and evocative performance that guarantees a fantastic evening of music.

Hayley Ria Christian’s versatility as a vocalist is sensational as she performs the Soul, R&B and Motown numbers that have inspired her career. In addition, Hayley performs an exceptional tribute to the ‘Empress of Soul’ Gladys Knight and one of the greatest female artists of all time, Whitney Houston.

Sammy Lomax has performed for audiences all around the world with her sensational vocals and diverse repertoire, including pop, rock, motown, and songs through the decades from 60s to present day, but she is best known for her amazing life-like tribute to 60s soul icon Dusty Springfield. Sammy fully evokes Dusty’s diva-like appearance and vocal sounds.

Reggae on the Rocks play a wide range of different styles of reggae music as well as music from the soul and pop genres. It’s not hard to see why this band is so popular, as they create a brilliant sound, much bigger than their five-piece line-up. What is most stunning, aside from the expertly executed sound of a tight rhythm section, are the consistent harmonies they perform. The sound brings everything to life, providing the finishing touch to a great evening of music and entertainment.
