The Italianate village of Portmeirion, on a rugged cliff top overlooking Cardigan Bay was built by visionary Welsh architect Sir Clough Williams-Ellis. Renowned as a unique architectural work of art, Portmeirion starred as the surreal setting of “The Village” in Patrick McGoohan’s 60s television series “The Prisoner”. Join us as we step back in time taking-in Portmeirion, railway journeys through Snowdonia and on the Llangollen Steam Railway, a horse drawn canal cruise, Victorian Bodnant Garden and the hidden gardens of Plas Cadnant on the Isle of Anglesey. We stay in a highly rated hotel in the lovely seaside town of Llandudno.
