The Ultimate 60s to Soul & Motown Christmas Party at Warner Norton Grange
4 days, 19th-22nd November 2021, from £309 per person
Union Gap gained worldwide recognition when their first combined release Young Girl hit No.1 in the UK and No.2 in the USA in 1968. After several more hits, in 1971 the band parted company with Gary Puckett. In 1974 Young Girl was re-released in the UK and the new Union Gap was put together to promote the record which was yet again a smash hit. Eventually the band went their separate ways until in 1996 they relaunched the New Union Gap with Tom Harding on bass guitar and lead vocals. They were an instant success on the 60s circuit playing all the major festivals, theatres and holiday centres throughout the UK. The boys have worked extensively to put together a repertoire of classic songs from the 60s to 90s, which they perform either in the original form or in their own unique style – many of which appear on their albums This Time Around, Classics and By Request. The band – now known as Union Gap UK – have also perfected their distinctive concert sound, which make them stand out from the crowd.
The Kommitments live show is dynamic, visual, authentic and accurate, capturing all the energy to truly recreate the atmosphere and brilliance of the movie, with music such as Mustang Sally, Hard To Handle, and Take Me To The River, plus many classic Soul hits too!
The Pacemakers continue the legacy of the famous 60s group which powered Gerry Marsden to a string of hits including, I Like It, How Do You Do It?, Ferry Cross the Mersey and You’ll Never Walk Alone. The Pacemakers have toured extensively for the past 26 years and continue to do so as the latest chapter of The Pacemakers history unfolds – continuing with Brian Poole out front.
Sharn Adela is a true Motown fan. Her professional CV includes West End Shows, UK tours, international tours, television and radio. Her distinctive voice has enabled her to sing and work along side a whole host of the UK’s top entertainers. Her Soul & Motown Tribute Show provides sensational vocals, glamour, class and outstanding costumes, and a wide range of great Soul & Motown Classics. A recipe to get any party started.
Soul sensation Steve Williamson performs all the great hits from soul and Motown legends such as The Temptations, The Drifters, Otis Reading and Luther Vandross to name but a few. Dance, sing along and enjoy a night of great live music.
Multi-talented multi-instrumentalist Keith Slater has created a superb show celebrating Frank Sinatra. His one-man show perfectly evokes ‘Ol Blue Eyes’ and is virtually a time-travelling experience. Keith has been a professional musician since 1981 and has toured extensively around the British Isles. He has recorded with well known bands such as 60’s group Mike Sheridan and the Nightriders, the nationally acclaimed folk act The Fastest Bat and Lancashire comedian Phil Cool. He has appeared on national TV shows Pebble Mill at One, The Tom O’Connor show, The Barmaids Arms and The Phil Cool Show. His music has been played on Radio one, Radio two and Local radio. He regularly works with well known artistes Carl Chinn (Birmingham historian), Malcolm Stent, Don Maclean and award winning bands Inheritance and Vivo where he sings, plays guitar, drums, violin and harmonica (obviously not all at the same time).
Tucker was the class joker at school, but it was only after a career as a plasterer and a Pontins Blue Coat that he found his feet on the comedy stage. Known as Tucker since a boy because he shares the same surname as Tucker Jenkins from Grange Hill, has been a staple of the comedy scene for the past two decades. He travels the world over with his gags, observational humour and wry take on the world. He has played at Wembley Arena and the Royal Albert Hall, been on tour with Barry Manilow, Bradley Walsh, The Stylistics, had Basil Brush as companion and worked on the world-famous Cromer Pier Summer Show. For the past six years, he’s also been performing at Warner resorts with a pleasing – and belly-laughing – mix of improv, observational humour, jokes, visual gags and a few songs here and there. Tucker’s theory is that there are two types of comedians. The first says funny things. The second says things funny. He falls into the second camp.
