Pakefield is a peaceful resort set in a picturesque seaside spot near Lowestoft, with beautiful gardens and grounds, it’s a great place to unwind and relax.  Seaside towns, beaches and unspoilt countryside are all on the doorstep. Enjoy entertainment every night and day PLUS a choice of bars and eateries, an indoor swimming pool, snooker, pool, darts, short mat bowls, 9-hole pitch & putt, tennis court and more.

Pakefield Holiday village is located on a cliff top overlooking Pakefield beach, between the villages of Pakefield and Kessingland and is about 3 miles to the South of Lowestoft
The entrance is off the A12 and is signposted Pakefield Holiday Village
It is ½ mile south of the roundabout for the Gateway Retail Park ( Morrisons and Pizza Hut end)
Please note the name is Pakefield Holiday Village – not to be confused with Pakefield Holiday Park

Public Transport
The nearest train station is Lowestoft –  3.7 miles

Buses from Lowestoft
From Lowestoft there is a bus from Lowestoft Railway station or Bus Station the 99 Coastal Clipper – Direction Kessingland and / or Southwold the journey takes about 25 minutes. The nearest bus stop is ‘Pontins Holiday Village ‘and is close to the entrance to Pakefield Holiday Village.
The buses run every 30 minutes – the last bus is about 5.30pm

Buses from Norwich
From Norwich St Stephens Street or King Street there is the 146 Borderbus, direction Southwold
The buses run every hour and take about 1 hour and the last bus is around 5.20pm
The nearest bus stop is ‘Pontins Holiday Village ‘and is close to the entrance to Pakefield Holiday Village. (Please check the timetable before travelling)

Parking – There are 3 car parks at Pakefield Holiday Village:  North, South and West. The nearest car park to your chalet can be located once you have been given your chalet number when you have checked in. Please note:  The chalets at Pakefield are all in pedestrian areas. If you have booked a Club Chalet, there are allocated parking spaces in the North Car Park. A club chalet will be shown as CLUBDBL or CLUBTWN on your GN Holidays confirmation. If you have booked a Disability adapted chalet – there are allocated spaces opposite the chalet. A disability adapted chalet will be shown as DISTWN on your GN Holidays Confirmation 

There is no EV charging point at Pakefield the nearest Electric car charging point are:

North Quay Retail Park , Lowestoft NR32 2ED /  4.7 miles / 15 mins

Tesco Superstore Leisure way, Lowestoft NR32 4TZ  / 6.5  miles  / 20 mins


Chalet facilities

All chalets are on the ground floor and have electric heaters.

Bed linen and bathroom towels are provided. Chalets are serviced on the arrival day only.


Tea/ coffee and milk are available for a small charge or bring your own.

Extra pillows and / or towels can be hired from the service centre located next to the Prince’s Showbar


**On arrival you will be required to complete a Pontins registration form – to speed up this process please click here to complete the form, once completed print it and bring it with you. You will need to complete one form per chalet – your chalet number/s will  be provided when you check-in**

If you are unable to complete the form in advance copies will be made available on arrival to complete.

4.00pm – Check-in for Classic (standard) chalets – Ballroom

2.00pm – Check-in for Club Chalets – Reception (Club chalets have allocated car parking in the North Car Park)

If you have booked Club accommodation it will be confirmed on your booking confirmation with one of the following codes: CLUBDBL, CLUBTWN or CLUB2RM2

All chalets must be vacated by 10am on the final morning

Parking – ample Free car parking is available at the venue.

Dining – Meals included are start with dinner on the first night and finish with Breakfast on the last morning. Lunches are not included.  All meals are self-service cafeteria style in the SS Victoria Cafetaria.

Half Price Drinks will be available at the following times:

Main Ballroom   Daily 12 noon to close

Drinks available in this promotion – see screens in bar for details. All other drinks including premium brand spirits will be charged at full price. Of course, we want you to have a good time, but you are encouraged to drink moderately – drunken/ and or abusive behaviour will not be tolerated and anybody abusing the scheme will be asked to leave the resort immediately with no recourse.

Due to licensing regulations, only drinks purchased from the bars (not purchased from the on-site shop or bought in by yourselves) can be consumed in the public/ bar areas. In-line with licensing regulations security staff do carry out random bag checks and reserve the right to confiscate any alcohol bought in from outside.

Health – Keeping you safe

The resort is ‘Covid & Norovirus safe’ with the latest best practices in place to ensure a safe stay.

If you experience any Covid or Norovirus symptoms during your stay please call NHS 111 for further advice then contact Reception on 01502 502900. Neither yourself nor travel companion/s should come into any of the public areas of the resort.


We only know about Special requests shown on your GN confirmation – for anything vital not shown or not advised, please call or email us by no later than one week prior to travel – Email info@gnholidays.com or call 01895 83 33 33  9am to 5.30pm weekdays.

In particular we need to know. .

A) Mobility issues, scooter, wheelchair, frame or stick use, or cannot climb into a bath.

B) Special dietary requirements other than VEGETARIAN – always available.

C) If travelling with friends not on the same booking reference as you and you have not already told us you want to dine with, or be in nearby accommodation. There is no need to contact us on this matter if you all booked at the same time, have the same booking reference number and same grade of accommodation.

PLEASE DO NOT CONTACT THE RESORT DIRECTLY – they will be unable to assist you as they do not have access to your booking info.

Indoor Heated Swimming Pool – Please bring your own towels for swimming.

Snooker, Pool, Table Tennis and Darts are available in the games room. There is also crazy golf! Equipment provided, or you are welcome to bring your own.

A convenience store & cafeteria are located on-site where you can purchase snacks and drinks

Here are some ideas of places to visit during your stay at Pakefield Holiday Village

The Beach
On the sea side of Pakefield Holiday village walk to the Pakefield Coastwatch tower  (Lighthouse) and you will find a path down to the beach – take care when walking near the cliff

Lowestoft -25 mins by bus   or  4 miles / 15 mins by car
Bus stop on opposite side of A12 – buses to Lowestoft – the 99 Coastal Clipper –
Please check timetable before travelling  / Buses are less frequent on Sundays
Please take care crossing the road to the bus stop as this is the A12 – a very busy road
There is lots to do in Lowestoft – shops, arcades, beach, promenade, The South Pier and Ness Point (the most easterly point in the UK)

Great Yarmouth – 1 ½ hours ( approx. ) by bus or 14 miles  / 40 mins by car
Bus stop on opposite side of A12 – buses to Lowestoft – the 99 Coastal Clipper and then change to the 1 or 1A Coastal Clipper to Great Yarmouth

Southwold  – 25 mins by bus or 9.5 miles  / 20 mins by car
Bus stop at the entrance to Pakefield Holiday village on same side of road
